Stade Saputo

Stade Saputo in Montreal is the home of CF Montréal and one of Canada's premier soccer-specific venues. Built on the Olympic Park grounds with Mount Royal as a backdrop, it offers a distinctly Montreal setting — bilingual chants, poutine in the concourses, and supporters groups that blend Quebec soccer culture with MLS energy. The stadium's design handles Montreal weather with a covered seating bowl, and the Ultras Montreal section drives atmosphere from the south end. Stade Saputo opened in 2008 as Saputo Stadium, giving the then-Montreal Impact a permanent home after years at Olympic Stadium's cavernous expanse. It has hosted CONCACAF Champions League matches, MLS Cup Playoffs games, and Canadian national team fixtures. The 2012 expansion added seats as the club prepared for its MLS entry. Saputo's dairy-company naming reflects Quebec's agricultural identity, and the stadium has become a symbol of soccer's growth in Canada's second-largest market.
