Canada Life Centre

Canada Life Centre in downtown Winnipeg is the compact, always-sold-out home of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets. It's among the smallest arenas in the league by capacity, which only intensifies the noise on game nights, especially during the playoffs. The building anchors a revitalized stretch of downtown Winnipeg and doubles as the city's premier concert and entertainment venue. Its close-in seating bowl puts fans right on top of the ice, part of why road teams routinely cite it as one of the toughest buildings to play in.

Opened in November 2004 as MTS Centre, the arena replaced the demolished Winnipeg Arena and originally housed the AHL's Manitoba Moose before the NHL's Jets relocated from Atlanta in 2011. It has since been renamed twice, becoming Bell MTS Place in 2017 and Canada Life Centre in 2021 under new naming-rights deals. Its "Winnipeg Whiteout" playoff tradition, where fans pack the building and the surrounding streets in all white, has grown into one of the most visually striking atmospheres in the NHL postseason. The arena remains one of the league's smallest by capacity, a big part of its outsized reputation for noise.
