Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is one of the most advanced venues in the world, the north London home of Spurs opened in 2019. Its steep single-tier South Stand, the largest of its kind in England, generates a wall of noise that ranks among the loudest in the Premier League. The stadium's glass-walled tunnel club, in-house microbrewery and NFL-specific design set it apart from any other English ground. It is as much a year-round entertainment venue as a football stadium, hosting concerts and American football alongside Premier League matches.
Spurs played their first Premier League match at the new stadium on 3 April 2019 against Crystal Palace, after construction on the site of the old White Hart Lane. Built with a fully retractable natural pitch that splits into three sections and slides beneath the South Stand in around 25 minutes to reveal an artificial NFL surface, it doubles as the first purpose-built home for the NFL outside the United States and hosts two NFL London Games each season. The ground has also become a premier concert and event arena, staging major touring artists between football fixtures. It represents one of the most significant stadium developments in modern English football.
