Thomas & Mack Center

The Thomas & Mack Center is the home arena of the UNLV Runnin' Rebels basketball team in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nicknamed "the Shark Tank" after legendary coach Jerry Tarkanian, it is one of the most recognizable college basketball venues in the West and seats roughly 18,000 for basketball. Beyond Rebels hoops, it's a major Las Vegas events venue, hosting championship boxing, rodeo, and touring concerts year-round. Game nights carry a Vegas showmanship that few other college arenas can match.

Opened in 1983 with a star-studded gala featuring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Diana Ross, the arena became home to Jerry Tarkanian's powerhouse Runnin' Rebels teams. In 1990, UNLV won the NCAA championship there in blowout fashion over Duke, 103-73, still the most lopsided title-game score in tournament history, part of a run that included four Final Four appearances under Tarkanian. It has long hosted the Mountain West Conference basketball tournament along with major concerts, UFC events, and championship boxing cards. Over four decades later it remains one of the sport's iconic arenas.
