Doak Campbell Stadium

Doak Campbell Stadium is the home of Florida State University Seminoles football in Tallahassee, one of the larger stadiums in the ACC and in college football. Its brick exterior surrounds the playing field, Bobby Bowden Field, and the building holds roughly 67,000 fans following a recent renovation. Chief Osceola and Renegade lead the team onto the field before kickoff, part of a game-day atmosphere widely regarded as one of the sport's best. The stadium's tomahawk-chop chants and war-chant drumbeat fill the bowl on fall Saturdays.

Opened in 1950 with a much smaller capacity, Doak Campbell Stadium grew over the decades into one of the largest venues in college football before a $265 million renovation completed around its 75th anniversary trimmed capacity to its current size in exchange for premium seating and modern amenities. The field is named for legendary coach Bobby Bowden, who led FSU to two national championships and built the Seminoles into a national power. The stadium is known for the pregame tradition of Chief Osceola planting a flaming spear at midfield, a signature moment in college football pageantry. Its 2024-2025 renovation refreshed the historic venue for FSU's next era while preserving its status as an ACC anchor.
