Freddie Freeman is the only active player to get 2,500 hits, becoming the 102nd player to reach that milestone. Freddie Freeman is on pace to hit just over 160, which not only is impressive for a player his age, but puts him on the pace for 3,000 hits (if he is even able to reach that mark). Behind him is Jose Altuve, who has 2,430 hits, followed by DFA'd Andrew McCutchen (2,280) and Paul Goldschmidt (2,227). Freeman is also the active MLB leader in doubles (563), runs scored (1,414), RBI (1,358), extra-base hits (974), and total bases (4,262). Freeman, since joining the Dodgers ahead of the 2022 season, has recorded 796 hits, which ranks second in MLB during that span behind Luis Arraez. Bobby Witt Jr. is the next closest player to him, tallying 795. Other players to get 2,500 hits while playing for the Dodgers include Eddie Murray, Luis Gonzalez, and Manny Ramirez. It should be known that the reason why Freddie Freeman is only 500 hits to the big 3,000 is that he hasn't played less than 100 games since 2011, barring the shortened season in 2020. We have to hope he reaches it!
