“The atmosphere and energy inside MSG was uneven and not what I was expecting given the gravity of the situation. 27 years since an NBA Finals game and you would not know it in the 4th quarter with the crowd. Disappointing. I’m grateful I didn’t spend the money on this and watched with our friends instead. The officiating was so bad. Numerous brazen fouls that (Wemby & Castle on Brunson) were completely blown, bizarre whistle on the delayed substitution, the inconsistency (Spurs 24 FTs to Knicks 8) in the 2nd half. Still that shot making from the Spurs was clutch and not something they had done in the last two games. Kudos to Castle and Fox. Game goes green because of the people I was with and the place we were watching from. Seems like Wemby’s drawing in the Park was a big ol sign that says “KNICKS IN 5”. ”
