“THE 9.7 IS FOR 1997! WHAT A GAME FOR THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE WNBA! NNEKA OGWUMIKE BUZZER BEATER AFTER THE SPARKS TRAILED BY AS MUCH AS 17! I would've thought the way the Liberty were aggressive and came out steaming hot would spoil the Sparks, but Los Angeles matched their efficiency at least, so I knew this would be close. A costly challenge by Roberts looked really bad, but they managed to drive down the court with less than ten seconds left and win the game to the home court! IT REMINDS ME WHY I LOVE THIS LEAGUE! LET'S GO SPARKS!”
