“Crucial and dominant win for the Spurs in a performance that was not pretty, but effective. San Antonio was like a massive python. They wrapped themselves around OKC, squeezed as hard as they could and waited until OKC’s lifeless corpse collapsed. Except rather than skillfully consuming their prey, the python repeatedly overestimated which parts it could consume before finally finding the right spot, devouring their prey and officially winning the battle. ‘Finding the spot’ in this case was that Wemby halfcourt shot to end the first half. It firmly put the ball in San Antonio’s court and OKC couldn’t take it back. OKC was lifeless throughout most of the 2nd half and the Spurs eventually feasted on their corpse. The defense was phenomenal while their offense was good enough to make this a blowout. You could call this game sloppy, but you could also call it good old-fashioned physical basketball. Wemby having a great game is sick af, so I’m leaning towards the latter. Series is tied. ”
