“*sigh* On one hand, I like how they keep fighting even when the game feels over, but I wish that they played like that in the 3 quarters before the game was basically decided. Perhaps the extended break will help them in their return, but for now, it is clear who won the expansion draft and it’s not the Canadian team. Carla Leite had a performance that made her look like a free throw merchant on steroids. A free throw connoisseur perhaps? Whatever you want to call it, 15 of her 27 points came at the line. Even if you want to detract from her scoring, she also provided 11 assists, not exactly a 1 trick pony. Mabrey had a tough game, didn’t shoot well and couldn’t even get to 10 points. Allemand did a good job setting up teammates, but everybody was struggling to convert. It was brutal to watch until the 4th came around and everyone woke up. The middle quarters were especially bad and I don’t think it’s a coincidence my body was shutting down (passing out) while I was watching the game. ”
