“Elite game to finish off the 4thquarter. Harden with 27 and Strus legacy game, 6 for 8 from three going into overtime. And man oh man Cade Cunningham. 37 in regulation. And then in overtime, Donovan Mitchell was ON FIRE! Got the bucket that gave them their initial 4 point lead then drilled a 3 and rolled in a layup in quick succession to take a 5 point lead. But of course, Cade Cunningham would not back down. Drilled the shot to make it a two point game, so close to being a three. The #1 overall pick a few years back, he just never seemed to be able to break through into the superstar Detroit expected him to be until this year but he has now stepped up a ton. Ultimately, it was Harden’s offensive rebound off the free throw and a couple missed threes by the Pistons that buried them. Harden missed 3 crucial free throws but ultimately the Cavs were able to hang on, breaking the streak of home teams being 11-0 in their playoff run so far.”
