SoFi Stadium in Inglewood is the futuristic centerpiece of Los Angeles sports, home to both the Rams and the Chargers under a translucent, ETFE-clad canopy. Its signature Oculus is a double-sided 4K videoboard suspended over the field — the largest of its kind in the world and unlike anything else in sports architecture. The sunken bowl design and indoor-outdoor feel give it a distinctly Southern California atmosphere, equally suited to Sunday football, global superstar concerts and championship soccer. It's already established itself as one of the sport world's premier stages barely five years after opening.
SoFi Stadium opened in September 2020 and quickly became a marquee venue, hosting Super Bowl LVI in February 2022 and a College Football Playoff National Championship. It will play an even bigger role for Los Angeles in 2028, temporarily renamed "LA Olympic Stadium" to host the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Summer Olympics along with Olympic swimming events. It welcomes a slate of 2026 World Cup matches to the West Coast ahead of that Olympic turn.
