Paycom Center
Overview
Paycom Center is the home of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the heart of OKC's downtown renaissance. The arena brings NBA basketball to passionate Thunder fans with excellent sightlines and a consistently loud atmosphere. The venue has become synonymous with Oklahoma City's identity as a major league city. It hosts the Thunder alongside concerts and other events.
History & Legacy
Paycom Center opened in 2002 as the Ford Center, built to attract an NBA team to Oklahoma City. The arena became the Thunder's home when the franchise relocated from Seattle in 2008. It was renamed Chesapeake Energy Arena (2011-2021) before becoming Paycom Center. The venue has hosted NBA Playoffs games, including the 2012 Finals. It has been central to OKC's transformation into an NBA city.
