T-Mobile Arena sits just off the Las Vegas Strip behind New York-New York, a sleek modern bowl that gave the expansion Golden Knights an instant home in 2017. T-Mobile Arena opened in April 2016 as a joint venture of MGM Resorts and AEG, and became the home of the Vegas Golden Knights when the NHL's newest expansion franchise debuted there in October 2017. The Knights stunned the league by reaching the Stanley Cup Final in their inaugural season, and the arena's identity became inseparable from the team's improbable rise. That arc was completed in June 2023, when Vegas clinched its first Stanley Cup at home with a Game 5 win over the Florida Panthers, setting off a championship celebration on the arena floor.
