Globe Life Field

Globe Life Field in Arlington is the retractable-roof home of the Texas Rangers, built to solve the brutal North Texas summer heat that plagued the club's old open-air stadium next door. The climate-controlled bowl keeps games comfortable year-round and gives Arlington a true four-season ballpark experience. It sits within the larger Arlington entertainment district alongside AT&T Stadium and Six Flags, making it part of one of the densest sports-and-entertainment corridors in the country. The retractable roof and modern amenities have made it a popular host for events well beyond Rangers baseball.

Globe Life Field opened in 2020 and, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, immediately became a neutral-site host for the entire 2020 World Series — the only venue in history to stage a complete World Series without either team playing at its own home park. Just three years later, the Rangers made it their own, winning Games 1 and 2 of the 2023 World Series there en route to the franchise's first championship in its 62-year history. The stadium replaced the open-air Globe Life Park (formerly The Ballpark in Arlington) located directly next door. Its quick pivot from neutral-site emergency venue to championship home gave it an unusually fast rise to World Series lore.
